If you never purchased these amiibo cards when they were initially available, or you’d just like to add more cards to your collection, Nintendo said Series 1-4 of the Animal Crossing amiibo card packs will go on sale at “select Target stores” in early September 2021. However, they can also be used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to bring animal villagers to the game’s campsite and Harv’s Island. These cards were originally released to be used in games like Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer on Nintendo 3DS (among others).

The Amiibo cards will release on March 26, and the free update will launch March 18, meaning those with previously released copies will be able to beginning scanning them and unlocking the new content a week early. These furniture sets should be identical to those included in New Leaf, just like the characters they accompany. The included villager is the rabbit Toby, a smug villager that has a fairly similar expression to Kerokerokeroppi. This comes with a lot of feudal-Japan-styled items that would look perfect set up alongside a koi pond. One particular item of note includes a bunny bed that features My Melody's face on the backboard.įinally, there's the furniture set based on the frog character Kerokerokeroppi.
The color palette matches the furniture's inspiration, with tons of pinks, reds and whites. These items are based around My Melody and are mostly focused on bunnies and hearts. The fourth card has lots of cozy furniture items themed around Cinnamoroll, whose face is prominently featured on a couch and a decorative tea-cup. This furniture set stands out since its items are far less focused on the Sanrio character and more-so the character's aesthetic. The villager included, Étoile, is a sheep with a normal personality type who is mostly pink, blue and yellow. Inspired by the twins, Kiki and Lala, the next set of furniture is themed around stars and rainbows. The second furniture set is themed around Pompompuri, with the villager representing him being a lazy cub named Marty. His furniture is all colored with shades of orange and brown, similar to Pompompuri's design, and they are dessert-themed. Fans should also expect plenty of furniture items to feature Hello Kitty's face or face shape in some way, such as a rug that depicts the character winking. Rilla's furniture set includes a bed, clock, potted plant, table and chair, with all of the furniture coming in a white, red and blue color scheme. The first set features a peppy gorilla villager named Rilla, and is themed around the character Hello Kitty. There are six cards total, each of which includes a villager and a set of themed furniture. Players can expect new sets of furniture and items themed around different Sanrio characters, as well as new villagers based on Sanrio characters. The Amiibo cards will be rereleased on March 26 and available at select retailers.
